The first event, A Case Study in Success as an Independent Artist: featuring Steve Moakler was hosted both in-person and livestreamed digitally on Tuesday, September 21 at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center. The panel discussed Moakler’s journey and decision to pursue being an independent artist and the success he’s found by superserving a passionate group of fans versus appealing to the masses. “The benefit of going the independent route in the music industry is doing things your own way, but it takes a lot of work. I tried a lot of wild ideas until I found what fit,” said Moakler. Panelists featured included: (Photo above L-RBrandon Gill Creative Nation Manager, Julie Behr Sturdivant Marbaloo Marketing Sr. VP, Steve Moakler Artist & Songwriter, Beth Laird Co-Owner Creative Nation, Haley Montgomery ACM Manager Awards & Membership.

NashFilm & ACM Presents: From Country Hits to Sync Success with Lainey Wilson was held on Saturday, October 2 featuring a conversation with hit songwriters and new and emerging Country artists about diversifying songwriting strategies, what it means to write a Country hit, and how to shift gears and write a song that works for placement in film, television, and gaming. Featured panelists included: (Photo above L-RLainey Wilson and Austin Jenckes as well as songwriters Micah Wilshire & Jennifer Hanson, and moderated by Randall Foster of Symphonic Distribution
