Hosted by Bill Cody, ACM Fan Jam is the fans-only live concert event taking place in Las Vegas during and after the 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards broadcast Sunday, April 3, 2011 at 8:00 PM live ET/delayed PT on the CBS Television Network.
After winning their respective categories, Church and The Band Perry will now compete for New Artist of the Year, the winner of which will be announced LIVE on ACM Fan Jam stage during the ACM Awards telecast. Fans can vote for this category at www.VoteACM.com until 5p.m. PST on April 3.
As previously announced, country superduo Sugarland will headline the inaugural ACM Fan Jam which gives country music fans the ultimate opportunity to be part of the LIVE telecast. Throughout the three-hour live Awards show from the MGM Grand Garden Arena, performances by top-tier music acts will take place from the Mandalay Bay Events Center, some of which will be remotely broadcast into the live telecast. Tickets for the ACM Fan Jam are on sale NOW, priced at $35 and $55.
Great American Country (GAC) host Bill Cody will serve as the on-site host for the ACM Fan Jam. A previous ACM Award nominee for On-Air Personality of the Year, Cody is celebrating his 40th anniversary working in broadcasting. Cody has been a host on GAC for more than a decade, hosting "Master Series" and other special programming.
The ACM Fan Jam will include multiple LIVE remotes into the 46th Annual ACM Awards telecast and will also include a profusion of entertainment, including performances by country music acts, prizes and special giveaways only for attendees, such as autographed guitars, trip packages to music events and merchandise. Fans at the ACM Awards wear dressy attire, but at the Fan Jam, concert attire is key because the night continues with more live performances and appearances after the Awards' taping ends.
