NASHVILLE, Tenn. — May 3, 2025 — Two of the top nominees at the 60th ACM Awards, Ella Langley and Riley Green, were surprised with the ACM Award for Visual Media of the Year for the song “you look like you love me” Friday night (5.2) while on stage during Riley Green’s set at Country Thunder Florida in Tampa, FL. The news was revealed by entertainment icon and host of the 60th ACM Awards, Reba McEntire, through a special video congratulating Langley and Green for their win.

The surprise came as Green brought out Langley during his Friday night headlining set at the festival, less than one week before the ACM Awards on Thursday, May 8, when the screens on stage were taken over by ACM Awards host Reba McEntire. “Sorry to interrupt, but I have some big news. ‘you look like you love me’ has won the ACM for Visual Media of the Year. Congratulations to Ella and Riley!” McEntire said in her message. “Can’t wait to celebrate with you both in Frisco!”
Langley’s win comes after already being named the ACM New Female Artist of the Year a week earlier thanks in part to the success of her debut album, hungover, in which she co-wrote every song on the album and was named one of the best albums of 2024 by The New York Times and Rolling Stone. Her massive hit single from the album, “you look like you love me,” featuring Riley Green, marked her Billboard Hot 100 debut (Top 30), earned Langley her first No. 1 single on Country radio, and made her the first and one of only two female artists to lead the Billboard Country Airplay Chart in 2024. Langley received the most nominations at the ACM Awards this year with eight nominations, including New Female Artist of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, and six nominations for “you look like you love me” including Single of the Year, Song of the Year (as an artist and songwriter), Music Event of the Year, and Visual Media of the Year (as an artist and director). Friday night’s win brings Langley’s ACM Awards count for the 60th ACM Awards to three, two as an artist and one as a director.
Friday’s win marks Green’s second ACM Award win after winning ACM New Male Artist of the Year in 2020. Green released his self-titled EP in 2018 with Big Machine Label Group to critical acclaim. His songs like the No. 1 2X-PLATINUM hit “There Was This Girl,” the 3X-PLATINUM-certified heart-tugger “I Wish Grandpas Never Died” (which he performed live at the 55th ACM Awards), and his chart-topping collab with Thomas Rhett, “Half Of Me,” have made Riley synonymous with what Country music does best: making listeners feel something with his no-gimmick, relatable writing and classic feel. Luke Combs joined Riley on his third No. 1 single “Different ‘Round Here (Ft. Luke Combs),” the title track to Riley’s 2019 debut album that he re-recorded with Combs after seeing how fans connected to it. In the past year, Green has seen another level of success after releasing his third studio album, Don’t Mind If I Do, which he released on his birthday, October 18. Green is currently on his Damn Country Music Tour with Ella Langley and other special guests with dates extending through November. Green received five nominations at the ACM Awards this year for his collaboration with Ella Langley on “you look like you love me,” including Single of the Year, Song of the Year (as an artist and songwriter), Music Event of the Year, and Visual Media of the Year.
