The ACM Chairman's Ride powered by Harley Davidson rolled down the road on Saturday, April 4, 2009, with artists Eddie Montgomery, Troy Gentry and Toby Keith. Also hopping on bikes were longtime riders James Otto, Randy Houser, Lady A's Charles Kelley, Emerson Drive, John Michael Montgomery and Richie McDonald.

A special addition to this year's ride was the participation of Harley Davidson, which sponsored the event for the first time. Senior Vice President and Chief Styling Officer Willie G. Davidson joined the riders, saying he was thrilled with the natural fit between Harley Davidson and the values of country music.

Formerly called the ACM Charity Motorcycle Ride, the invitation-only event, hosted by ACM Chairman and motorcycle enthusiast Rod Essig, took artists and industry VIPs on a scenic cruise through the Nevada desert and along snow-capped mountains. Harley Davidson sponsored the event, which raised money for ACM Lifting Lives.
